It has been a largely uneventful week, unsurprisingly this tends to happen the closer we get to pay day, so I’ve not got too much to report in my weekly update…
Last week my gaming focus was on Bioshock 2 and I’m largely finished with it for now, having completed the main campaign, the Minerva’s Den downloadable content and most of the Protector Trials as well. I’m not totally finished, there’s a pretty cool multiplayer component but I don’t have the will to spend any more time in Rapture right now, it’s gloomy murderous vibe was starting to have an effect on my mood. Games don’t often do that to me, so it’s testament to the quality team at 2K Marin who put it all together.
After putting it down, I carried on with one of the games I played on TK day – Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3. This game has a stupid amount of mobile suits, pilots and missions, so completing it was something I’d abandoned ages ago. It was actually a lot of fun to return to and playing the game sure does make me want to watch some more Gundam movies! By the end, I was able to collect 900 of the possible 1000 Gamerscore for it, bringing me well over my self-imposed target of 75%.

Speaking of 75%, here’s a progress update, I’ve finally started to make visible gains this week, which is great as I was beginning to think this task would be nigh impossible! There are 2 games in February that I’ve got my eye on – Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Catherine – so I need to work a little harder to make up for the net loss they will initially incur. I have a feeling I’m going to resurrect a game from the bottom of my achievement pile, perhaps FEAR or Dark Messiah, but I’m not sure what sort of mood I’m in really, I guess it will just be a case of opening the games wallet and randomly flipping to a page, leave it up to the fates!
And that’s about it really, as I said I’ve had a quiet week and aside from the regular podcast recording on Tuesday (you can grab the show here) and a lovely Saturday evening at a friends eating sushi and watching a fair bit of Netflix, that’s about all I’ve got to report on. Whatever you’re up to, have a great weekend folks.
