‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. That’s because I am writing this on a laptop, which has a neat little touchpad which obviously makes no noise at all. Ho ho ho.

I’m officially on my hols now and back in my home town of Morecambe. I’d been pretty damn ill with some serious manflu the week before, hence me forgetting to update the blog. Anyway, I’m feeling much better and am taking this quiet moment to remind you all that the latest edition of The Monkeychunk Show is now available by direct download or from iTunes.

It’s only a short one, but that doesn’t mean it can’t bring you some pleasure.

Too many games, not enough time

Too many games

I’ve been meaning to update the blog with the games I’ve been completing lately, but I’ve been struck by the realisation that I have a severe problem – I have too many games! Right now I’ve got these Xbox 360 titles on my playlist:

  • Gears of War 3
  • The Adventures of Tintin
  • Battlefield 3
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
  • Skyrim

Finding the time to “finish” them is proving nigh impossible, but keep watching this space for the inevitable reviews links/opinion pieces. I’m hoping to get at least 3 out of the 5 completed before I head home for Xmas.

How to kill a blog in 50 days

Ah the classic behaviour of a blog owner, without the right inspiration and routine, it turns out I’ve abandoned this blog! I think I’ve done this with every single iteration of the blog, so I can see a pattern occurring, usually around the half year mark. I’m not sure how I become so disconnected from posting regularly, maybe it’s the choice of video games I’m playing that keeps me distracted, or the activities I spend my time doing.

I’m doubtful anyone has me subbed in an RSS feed (I’ve never got round to checking the analytics side of this blog), but if you read this post then I thank you for your patience. If you’re wondering what I’ve been up to since my last post on August 20th, well here’s my attempt at a recollection:

So that’s a brief re-cap of the last two months, I see now how I allowed myself to get carried away! Right now I’ve got Gears 3 and Dark Souls on the go, with Dead Island and Persona 4 eyeing them jealously, so my time already seems jam packed! Stay tuned and maybe I’ll post something here at some point within the next 60 days :D
