As I begin my morning with a hearty yawn, it is with great regret that I have broken one of my writing resolutions, this post is late by one day! Dun dun dunnnnnn. Despite having half of Friday off work, it somehow became night time before I knew it, and with guests to entertain I didn’t get a free moment until I was as sleepy as my cat (who sleeps all bloody day normally), and so left this blog post til the morrow. If you’re not too cross with me, then maybe you’ll read on to see what I’ve been doing…

Game Over – Dead Space 2
My fifth completed game of 2011 is Dead Space 2 from Visceral Games
It is with great pleasure that I can report that Dead Space 2 is frakking marvelous, a worthy sequel and every bit as bloodthirsty as before. I’m sure it’s been mentioned by someone already, but the difference in these games is like the difference between Alien and Aliens. We’ve already seen the horrific aspects of the monster in a confined area, lets see what happens when it’s let loose on a colony of people!
I’ve written a full and proper account of my time with the game over at Gadgetoid, you can find the review here:

Please be kind as it’s the first review I’ve written in six months, having a little hiatus has made my skills somewhat rusty (although regularly updating this blog is helping in that area). It’s really difficult writing about a game that is crammed full of potentially spoileriffic content, but I think I’ve managed to do so without ruining anyone’s expectations.
I’m going to wrap up this Game Over post now, if you’re one of the cool people who end up picking up the game for Xbox 360, be sure to send me a friend request if you want to throw down the multi-player gauntlet.
